Why do I qualify for this discount?
This discount is available to you as a benefit of employment through a Volume Purchasing Agreement that is contractually in place between Sprint/Nextel and your organization. There are two ways to qualify for this discount, both directly and indirectly. You directly qualify for this discount if your organization is using Sprint/Nextel cellular services. You indirectly qualify for this discount if your organization has a partnership with a Group Purchasing Organization that has arranged for you to qualify for the discount. In either case, proof of employment is required. Most private enterprise and corporate employees qualify directly. Healthcare and government employees generally qualify indirectly.
What happens to my discount if I decide to leave my organization?
The discount will remain on your account if you leave your organization. You may call in and request to have the discount removed.
If the discount amount goes up or down, does my bill change?
Yes, the discount is based on a National Volume agreement between your organization and Sprint/Nextel. As these agreements are amended and renewed your discount percentage may fluctuate both up and down. It is very rare to see a fluctuation in your discount.
How do I add the discount?
All you need to do to add the discount to your existing Sprint/Nextel account is to go to www.EVPdiscount.com and login to your company's online store. You will be emailed within minutes with a code and a contact number to call in and add your discount directly through your carrier. Once added, your discount will be reflected to your bill within 2-3 billing cycles.
Does adding the discount renew my agreement for another 2 years?
In most cases you do not have to renew your agreement; however, this piece of the program is contractually determined by your organizations written agreement with Sprint/Nextel. You should specifically ask the carrier representatives about any changes that may take place on your account to verify what changes will take place as a result of adding the discount.
What other changes may take place to my account as a result of adding the discount?
You may need to change your billing cycle in order to receive the discount to your account. Your billing cycle may need to change because you are attaching yourself as a member to your organizationÍs Sprint/Nextel account. If your current billing cycle is different than your organizations, then you will need to adopt their billing cycle to participate as a member of the program.
How do I know if I am receiving my discount?
Look on your bill for Page 2. This should be your account summary page. At the bottom of the page, right above the taxes section is a section called Nationwide Volume Program. If you see this section, you are receiving your discount. If you do not see this section, follow the above directions to add the discount to your existing account.
